How to run the Photo Scavenger Hunt
Players complete themed missions by taking photos, locating safe objects, or receiving host confirmation. The most verified missions before time expires wins.
Materials and setup
Print mission sheets, provide pens and phones or cameras, define the play boundary, and mark any location that is out of bounds. Choose whether each proof must include the whole team.
Play steps
- The host reviews safety rules and the evidence standard.
- Teams start together and may complete missions in any order.
- Each completed item receives a photo or host initial.
- Teams return before time; late teams may lose a point per minute.
Host tips and variants
Never require trespassing, risky climbing, photographing strangers without consent, or moving valuable objects. For younger players use one supervised area; for a cooperative version, let the entire group complete a shared list.
Example round
A mission says “recreate a movie poster with three teammates.” The photo counts if all required teammates appear and the image is taken inside the approved area.
Design note
The missions mix observation, creativity, and teamwork so success does not depend only on speed or knowledge.
