Rules and host guide

How to run the Party Trivia Quiz

Players or teams answer a shared set of multiple-choice questions. The winner is the player or team with the highest score after the host reveals every answer.

Materials and setup

Print question sheets, one answer sheet per player or team, and one host key. Prepare pens and decide whether phones are allowed; the recommended rule is no outside lookup.

Play steps

1. The host reads each question and its choices.
2. Players mark one answer without calling it out.
3. After the final question, the host reads the key and teams score one point per correct response.
4. Highest total wins; use a host-written bonus question for ties.

Host tips and variants

Keep a steady pace and repeat each question once. Run it as a table quiz with private answer sheets, or as a buzzer round where the first recognized team may answer for two points and loses one point for a miss.

Example round

For “Which season begins after spring?” teams privately choose summer. The host reveals the answer only after all sheets are locked, preventing louder players from steering the room.

Design note

The question and answer pages are separated so the same set works for self-paced print play or a host-led team event.
